everywoman in Technology leadership academy launches

Aimed at IT women who want to get to executive level

A new conference has been launched for women in IT looking to advance their careers in the technology industry.

It follows a recent CIO survey from recruitment and outsourcing specialist Harvey Nash, which found that not only were there too few female CIOs, the overall number of women IT workers is very low. Twenty-four percent of CIOs reported having no women in their technical teams, the survey found, and for every woman Harvey Nash recruits into a CIO role, nine men are placed in a similar position.

The everywoman in Technology Leadership Academy is a one-day conference that will feature masterclasses, panel sessions and motivational speeches, as well as offer networking opportunities with peers.

Delegates will gain insight into how they can develop their leadership skills and progress their careers, as well as get practical guidance from women who have been successful at reaching the top.

The event will be held on 17 October 2012 at Cisco's site in Feltham, Middlesex. Tickets cost £216 until 1 July 2012, and £270 thereafter. For more information on how to book, click here.
