Virgin Media seeks talented games developers

Do you have a mobile game in you, bursting to come out?

Amateur games developers are being encouraged to enter Virgin Media's '100 Day Game Project', which aims to find the brightest talent in mobile game design and creation.

Virgin Media is looking for amateur and student game designers from across the country to come up with concepts for a "top quality" mobile/tablet game. Gaming industry experts will then be brought in to help the winning team launch the beta version of the game at the Eurogamer Expo on 27 September at Earls Court, London.

Entries will be reviewed by a panel of experts, and entrants must be available for a final judging day in London on 12 June 2012.

Once a winning team has been chosen, Virgin Media will whisk them away to a special development lab in Dundee for the beginning of the 100 days development process (from 18 June to 26 September).

When the game development begins, the gaming world will be able to follow the process through a series of weekly blogs and video diaries, allowing gamers to get involved and suggest ideas on the fly.

Virgin is searching for teams of 3-4 members, aged 18-35, to pitch their game ideas online.
