City University launches IT consultancy masters degree

Aimed at ambitious professionals with five years' tech experience

City University London has announced a new postgraduate course in IT consultancy, starting from September 2011.

The MSc in IT Consultancy degree is aimed at IT professionals with around five years' experience who want to progress into more consultancy or project management positions.

The course will be available on a part-time basis initially, to make things easier for working professionals, and will cost £7,500.

Teaching will be delivered in blocks of two or three days over a 28-month period, and cover topics such as identifying, managing and controlling risk.

Applicants will need to have a first or second class BSc Honours Degree or non-UK equivalent to apply for the 10 places that are available for the 2011/12 academic year, and more information about how to apply for the course can be found here.

Last year, City University launched a Masters in Information (MIL) course aimed at professionals who wanted to become CIOs, as well as a Masters in Innovation, Creativity and Leadership (MICL), which is aimed at professionals in any industry who want to develop their leadership skills and learn how to tap into the creative potential of individuals and organisations.
