BT signs TV-on-demand deals

Three new partners for BT Vision as launch nears

MTV, Paramount Comedy and Nickelodeon have been added to the growing list of content providers partnering with BT for its soon-to-be-launched TV-on-demand service.

BT Vision is scheduled to go live this autumn, and the firm has been busy signing up programming partners over the past few months. The company said that viewers will be able to watch a vast range of films, music and TV from the likes of Dreamworks, National Geographic and BBC Worldwide, together with the three new partners.

"Viewers will have on-demand access to some of the most popular TV brands and programming in the UK," said Dan Marks, chief executive of BT Vision.

The service will be run on Microsoft software, BT said, and a Philips set-top box.
