Ashton Kutcher spotted wearing Steve Jobs outfit

The actor was photographed in character on his way to the set of the upcoming film about Jobs

Ashton Kutcher has been spotted wearing a Steve Jobs outfit for his role as Apple's late co-founder in an upcoming independent movie.

Several photographs shared by TMZ show Kutcher wearing a black turtleneck, jeans and New Balance trainers, a getup that came to be recognised as Steve Jobs' trademark attire. The photographs were reportedly taken as the Two and a Half Men star was on his way to the set of the film in Los Angeles last week.

The biopic, Jobs: Get Inspired, will focus on the early years of Apple, from 1971 - 2000, and is set to be released later this year.

Sony is also planning a movie about Steve Jobs' life, based on Walter Isaacson's best selling authorised biography of Jobs. Mark Hulme, the producer of Jobs: Get Inspired, said in an interview that he isn't worried about the competing movie "Sony is a highly respected company, and Isaacon's book is a great read. But our project was in development even before the release of Isaacson's book, and our movie will be out well before their movie," he said.

It was recently revealed that Actor Josh Gad will play Steve Wozniak in the movie.
