BBC iPlayer comes to BT Vision

Catch-up service rolls out over next five months

BT and the BBC have joined forces to give BT Vision viewers the chance to watch BBC iPlayer through the TV-on-demand service.

The BBC iPlayer will gradually be rolled out to BT Vision's half a million customers over the next five months. Once roll-out is complete, viewers will be able to watch the all of the content available on the service by simply selecting BBC iPlayer from their programme menu.

BT also said iPlayer would eventually replace the existing 50 hours of BBC content available on BT Vision.

Marc Watson, chief executive of television and online services at BT Retail, said: "We are really excited to be partnering with the BBC to bring the BBC iPlayer service to BT Vision customers. The launch of BBC iPlayer on BT Vision adds to the vast range of quality entertainment already available to our customers."
