Lite-On will begin shipping Xbox 360 Blu-Ray BD-ROM drives for Xbox 360 consoles later this year, according to multiple news outlets.
The Taiwanese drive manufacturer declined to comment, but nevertheless "unnamed industry sources" told Digitimes that shipments of the BD ROMs to Microsoft will start in the second half of 2008. Lite-On is currently a supplier of Xbox 360 internal DVD-ROM drives.
