Graphics board maker Number Nine, whose Beatle-loving founder named the company after a song on the fab four’s White Album, finally shut its doors last week.

The long-ailing PC component maker known for its Revolution series of graphics boards was bought late last year by chip-maker S3, but had continued to support its products.

A note posted on the Number Nine Web site states that phone support will no longer be offered, but driver files and a tech support database will remain available on the site.
