Defunct online boo-tique, Boo.com is set to relaunch on the day before Halloween under the management of its new owner, Fashionmall.com.

Fashionmall.com in New York, which bought the Boo.com domain name and other assets in June, said in a statement it would not operate the site as a direct retailer.

Instead, the company said that the new Web site will operate as a portal linking online shoppers directly to products sold on the Internet by manufacturers and retailers.

The new owners said the revamped Boo.com will also be creating an online community of 18 to 30-year-olds, including message boards, chat rooms and surveys and polls.

Fashionmall.com said revenues for the new site would be generated through advertising, product sales and licensing.
