Apple has published a rather blunt note effectively requesting feedback relating to reports of intermittent shutdowns affecting MacBooks.
An undetermined minority of users have experienced a problem in which their MacBooks begin inexplicably shutting down during normal use.
This problem is understood to manifest itself after the computer has been used without any problems for an indeterminate time. Some reports claim random shutdowns also occur when the MagSafe Power Adaptor is suddenly removed from the Mac.
While not all users are affected by this, Apple's technical note urges users to "contact AppleCare for service" in situations in which MacBooks shut down "intermittently".
A website published by affected users may have drawn Apple's attention to the intermittent problem that seems to affect only a small congregation of MacBook owners.
