Compaq goes mono with wireless iPaq

Cheap, cheerful and connected

Compaq has launched monochrome versions of its wireless iPaq handheld computers in the US and Canada, it announced on Monday.

The iPaq Pocket PC H3100 Series is otherwise similar to the color display H3600 Series, but has a suggested retail price of $349, Compaq said in a statement. The devices contain a 206MHz Intel StrongArm processor and 16MB of RAM, Compaq said.

The company also announced it would sell the Targus Stowaway Portable Keyboard for English versions of its iPaq computers through its online store, Compaq DirectPlus, from 12 February at a price of $99.
