Apple X11 update supports OpenOffice again

Addresses font problems

Apple's latest X11 update fixed a flaw that prevented popular open-source office suite OpenOffice from starting up.

The company first released its X11 update 10 days ago, but issued a replacement update this week. This is because the previous version of the update carried some font problems, which stopped OpenOffice.

"This new update fixes the issue of the fonts being corrupt, which prevented the current stable version of OpenOffice.org from starting. OpenOffice.org now starts again with no problems," said the developers of the suite.

Apple's latest version of X11 is available here.
