Apple updates Intel Mac firmware

Includes fixes for several Boot Camp issues

Apple has released a series of firmware updates for Intel Macs.

Separate versions of the update – the EFI Firmware Update – are available for the iMac, MacBook Pro, MacBook, Mac mini and Mac Pro.

Apple describes the software as one to "fix several Boot Camp, start-up and wake-from-sleep issues" on the relevant Intel Mac.

The company has also released Firmware Restoration CD 1.2 software, which can restore the firmware of an Intel-based Mac. Users must download the software and create a CD using it. That CD can then be used to restore the firmware in any Mac should a previous update be interrupted or failed.
