Visitors flock to PC Advisor online discussion forums

Registered users area proves to be smash hit

PC Advisor’s online registered users area, launched just before Christmas, has been a roaring success.

Over 2,000 registered visitors have flocked to the discussion forums, workshops and special reports, increasing traffic to the website by over 50 percent.

The biggest success has been the Helpline forum where visitors answer one another’s technical queries. There are now over 200 subject areas in this forum alone. Thanks to those who’ve been active on the site, especially those who’ve taken the time and effort to share their technical knowledge with our visitors.

"It's all about thinking application, rather than publication. The forums are a classic example of what the web does best - a strong sense of community combined with realtime support," said Guy Dixon, editor of pcadvisor.co.uk.
