JFK Reloaded game recreates Kennedy's assassination

Can first-person shooters shed light on history?

John F Kennedy was shot in Dallas 41 years ago. Even today, conspiracy theories swirl around this most famous of murders, and doubt remains as to whether the loner Lee Harvey Oswald, himself shot before being brought to trial, actually did kill Kennedy from a school book depot.

Game developer Traffic Management, of Stirling, Scotland, used the senario as an opportunity to develop a first-person shooter game, JFK Reloaded, which places players in the role of the assassin. You score less if you deviate from the historical conditions, for example by killing Jacqueline Kennedy.

Head developer Kirk Ewing, not related to television's Texan oil clan, does not believe in conspiracy theories and wants to prove with this docu-game that Oswald was solely responsible for Kennedy's murder.
