Speed more important than Intel inside

PC Advisor visitors want power

Speed is more important than brand when it comes to processors.

Intel and AMD would be better off siphoning their hefty marketing budgets into developing even faster processors, according to the latest PC Advisor interactive poll.

Over a thousand visitors to the PC Advisor web site responded to the poll, which stated: “Speed counts more than Intel or AMD branding. The make of PC processor is not important.”

Nearly two thirds of respondents agreed with the statement (62.1 percent), with 27.32 (percent) preferring brand over speed.

The results will particularly come as a blow to Intel, which has long attempted to discredited its smaller arch rival by spending millions in co-operative advertising on its Intel Inside campaign.
