AMD rolls out 750MHz Duron

Latest version of Intel budget-basher

Chip maker AMD this morning announced the introduction of its 750MHz AMD Duron processor, targeted at "value-conscious" PC users looking sub-£650 systems.

AMD claims more than 20 computer manufacturers worldwide are offering systems based on the new processor, a cut down version of AMD's Athlon processor.

Expect machines from the usual AMD UK fraternity, including Evesham.com, Mesh and Carrera.
