Launch date for Office 2003

Microsoft announces official release details

Microsoft has finally revealed the launch date for the next version of its Office software, Microsoft Office System. Although online retailer Amazon let the cat out of the bag last week when it posted pricing and launch details on its website, now Microsoft has announced the official date although the UK prices are still under wraps.

The software is due for launch on 21 October, three days before the date given by Amazon. As yet it has provided no UK prices for the software, although the US pricing can be found here.

The new software, which was previewed in the June 03 issue of PC Advisor, is primarily aimed at business customers, although changes made to Outlook will also appeal to regular users.
