Apple releases update for mid-2012 MacBook Air, MacBook Pro

The software update includes bug fixes, graphic performance improvements and USB compatibility fixes

Apple has released a software update for its mid-2012 MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and 15in Retina MacBook Pro. The update includes bug fixes and graphics performance updates, as well as USB compatibility improvements.

Although Apple doesn't specify exactly what the update will fix, CNET notes that it could solve recently reported issues with the new MacBooks, including flashing displays when waking the system, colour problems when using the MacBook in conjunction with external displays, and some strange graphical glitches when that occur when using the Launchpad.

It also appears to have fixed a problem that would cause the keyboard to stop working shortly after plugging in a USB device on MacBook, reports Cult of Mac.

The update is 127MB in size, and is available to download from the Apple's Software Update Service, Mac App Store, or as a standalone installer from Apple's Support Downloads page.

Once the download has finished downloading, you'll need to restart your Mac.
