New fake iMac on sale in China

The manufacturer will even add an Apple logo to the front of the computer

A Chinese company has revealed a rather familiar looking all-in-one computer.

M.I.C Gadget reports that the new computer looks just like an iMac, but it is slow, unresponsive and certainly not made by Apple.

The fake iMac has a 21.5in 1920 x 1080 pixel display with a 1.8GHx dual core Atom D525 processor, integrated Intel's GMA3150 graphics, 4GB of RAM, a 500GB, 7200RPM hard drive, a built-in DVD burner, four USB 2.0 ports, HDMI-in, VGA, and other standard features, says the report.

You can even choose to order the rip-off with an Apple logo on the front.

It weighs almost half the weight of Apple's iMac, and M.I.C Gadget believes that it is made from plastic rather than the "highly recyclable aluminium" that the manufacturer claims is used for the enclosure.

The reports asks why Apple doesn't sue the makers of knock-offs that are frequently emerging from China and other countries.

Last year, almost 30 counterfeit Apple Stores were found in China.
