Could you live without the web?

UK users admit to net addiction

We all moan about information overload, complaining about all the emails we're sent every day, particularly those junk messages we could really live without. But if we could, would we revert to a pre-internet existence?

That was the question posed to just under 2,000 web users by gay website OutintheUK. And the answer, it appears, is no.

When asked "If you woke up tomorrow morning and the internet had stopped working, do you think your quality of life would improve or decline?" over half (58.2 percent) chose the latter option. Just 17.8 percent thought their life would be better without the web, while 24 percent thought it would make no difference.

So it seems as if all our complaints are just hot air, and we really couldn't live without the internet. Mind you, there's an idea for another Channel 4 reality show?.
