The Small Business Service (SMB) today launched its new website, dubbed Connect Best Practice, designed to give businesses advice and practical support via real-life case study videos.
Previous Connect events, including presentations and practical onsite demonstrations, have been extremely successful with over 13,000 companies attending expositions since Connect's launch in April 2000.
"Connect really does help small businesses. Last year we undertook an independent survey of companies who attend our presentations — firms reported average profit increases of £670,00 and sales increases of over £4m," boasted Martin Wyn Griffith, chief executive of SMB.
Streaming specialist twofourtv will be providing the technology for the 150 case studies, making this the first government portal dedicated to streaming media content.
The free online videos cover all areas of business from health and safety to marketing, advising firms on the best policies to use. As well as an extensive resource library, there's access to self-assessment forms and tips on productivity and performance.
