Intego launches Backup Express tool

Only available in Mac App Store

Mac security specialist Intego has released Backup Express, a backup and synchronization tool, in the Mac App Store.

It can back up files from you home folder, or other disks and volumes for which you have permissions, to a variety of different media including external hard drives, removable media, CD, DVD, network volumes, AirPort disks, iDisks and iPods, as well as disk images.

Creating backup scripts is simple, according to Intego, and you can schedule backups to run in the background, run full or incremental backups and choose to keep multiple versions of files, or only the latest versions.

For a limited time Backup Express will be available for £5.99/$9.99 from the Mac App Store. Its regular price will be £8.99/$14.99.

You'll need to be running Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and have a Mac App Store account to install Backup Express.
