Star Trek content in a flash

Collectable cards give Trekkies access to exclusive footage from Nemesis movie

Internet plc has come up with the next-generation of collectable cards, in the form of SmartFlash cards, which hold exclusive content about the new Star Trek Nemesis movie.

The first series of SmartFlash cards contains four versions — Shinzon, Picard, Nemesis Logo and Federation Emblem. Each gives access to unique online experiences and sports different designs to encourage Star Trek fans to collect the entire set. If you do buy all four cards, the backs join up to create the Romulan war bird spaceship from the movie.

The cards, which come with a special SmartFlash reader, give users access to behind the scenes footage, interviews with the makers of the movie, plus exclusive images and audio clips. All you have to do to access this content is plug the reader into your PC's USB port, insert the card and you will be taken directly to the restricted web space which holds all the content.

The cards are available from Startrek.com and Smartflashcard.com, priced £7.99 each. A kit with a reader costs £24.99.
