HP cuts printer prices

New year deals on photo printing and all-in-one devices

HP is getting into the festive mood by slashing the prices of two of its printer products — the Photosmart 7550 and the PSC 750.

The Photosmart 7550 is HP's first consumer seven-ink printer, which uses its PhotoRet IV photo inkjet cartridge. To make printing your digital shots simple, it also includes four built-in memory card slots which take CompactFlash, SmartMedia, Memory Stick and Secure Digital media.

The Photosmart 7550 will sport the promotional price of £249 (a saving of £50) for the whole of January 03 at participating stores, which include Dixons and Jessops.

The other printing device HP is pushing is its all-in-one combined printer, scanner and copier, the PSC 750. This device, which works with Macs and PCs, has come down in price by 50 percent to a penny under £100. Again it will be on sale at participating retail stores.
