Kodak shocker

DC5000 digital cameras recalled

Kodak today ordered the voluntary recall of its DC5000 digital zoom cameras (pictured).

About 12 owners of this particular model of digital camera contacted Kodak to complain it was giving off electrical shocks. Kodak has advised people to stop using the camera immediately.

Over 75,000 cameras will have to be recalled and checked, all at the firm’s expense.

The problem comes just weeks after Nikon recalled its Coolpix camera due to a fault that caused the battery to overheat.

Owners should visit Kodak's website for more details or call the Kodak Digital service centre on 0870 243 0270.
