Mesh closes showroom owing to crime wave

PC maker is considering the future of its London store

Computer maker Mesh has been the victim of 15 burglaries so far this year, forcing the company to close its Leeds showroom and sales office.

While the outlet is closed, at this stage indefinitely, calls to the Leeds offices are being automatically transferred to call centres in London and Scotland.

"We are not sure how long the showroom will be closed or whether it will even open again. We may have to relocate to a more secure showroom," said Nick Walters spokesman at Mesh.

"Orders will not be affected as this is not a manufacturing plant. People will receive their orders as normal," added Walters.

The company will be making an announcement within the next couple of weeks as to whether the sales office will reopen.

Mesh moved its London headquarters back in September last year, relocating a few doors down from its old building in North London. Its new manufacturing plant was opened in Scotland in January.
