Bloggers of the world unight! Free spell checker for IE

If you use web-based email, forums or blogs, but are unsure of your spelling, prepare to breathe a sigh of relief.

IeSpell is a free Internet Explorer browser extension that spell-checks text input boxes on a web page.

You may want to install ieSpell, even if your web application already includes spell-checking functionality, because of the increase in speed server-side.

In tests carried out by PC Advisor, ieSpell thrashed Hotmail's snail-paced spellchecker. Obviously we also like it because it makes forum entries here at PCA online easier to read…

The program installs a button in the IE toolbar (as well as a new menu item under "Tools").

The downside? Well, it's American.

Still with us? Excellent. The good news is you can store your own word list across all your applications, instead of maintaining separate ones on each application.
