Evesham launches small business ISP

PC firm targets 'Soho' market

Midlands-based PC supplier Evesham has launched an ISP for small businesses, called 'e2b Internet'.

The service provides a range of connectivity options licensed from BT, including modem dialup, ISDN and ADSL. Evesham is also offering Affinity's website hosting and online business management software, including database, diary, site traffic monitoring, time management, domain name registration and online storage.

"We're a medium-sized business ourselves, so we know the things they need, unlike some of the larger ISPs," said e2b Internet's product manager Gerard McHugh.

Using the service doesn't require the purchase of an Evesham PC, but McHugh said he hoped it would lead businesses to use Evesham hardware, although the e2b business is intended to make a profit in its own right.

Broadband services begin with Business Daytime Lite at £10 a month, which buys fixed access between 6am and 6pm, 25 email addresses, 25MB of web space, a range of business software and local-rate technical support.

Top of the range is SME Connect, which for £55 provides permanent broadband access for a small workgroup, 500 email addresses, 100MB of web space, domain name and hosting, the full range of business software and local-rate technical support.
