PC World's Advent Eco PC consumes just 25W

New green PC also includes recycled materials

PC World has launched a '‘green' desktop PC, which runs an Intel dual-core processor but consumes just 25W.

As well as the low power consumption, the Advent Eco PC's green credentials are boosted by the use of recycled materials. PC World says the Eco PC is made up of 75 percent recycled plastics, while printed manuals are sacrificed in favour of PDF manuals.

As well as the 1,5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5250 processor, the Eco PC includes 2GB or RAM, a 160GB hard disk, Windows Vista Premium and a wireless keyboard.

It's available now without a monitor for £599, or with a widescreen 19in screen for £699.
