No noise from beneath the sea

Pacific PC on silent running to avoid detection

Troubled PC maker Pacific PC, which earlier this month called in the liquidators, appears to have gone into hiding.

All the directors' telephone numbers are ex-directory and, despite repeated attempts to contact the company, the marketing firm responsible for Pacific's public face has failed to pass on any promised press releases, contact numbers or details from the meeting with liquidators that has allegedly taken place.

PC Advisor promised readers more details about the company's plans for existing customers, but at the moment there seem to be none.

The company's answerphone simply states the company has gone out of business, leaving no contact details for customers to call. However, the company's website is still functioning as normal.

Reasons as to why the company resolved still remain anyone's guess after a spokesperson for a subsidiary company said Pacific was making a profit at the time it sank beneath the waves.
