Video: CES: Sharp's mobile TV's, meeting solution large-scale plans for 2012

Sharp marked it’s 100th year of business at CES by showing off a newly designed portable TV, the Aquos freestyle, a TV with handles that can be carried, lifted and re-located easily within a home or out to the patio.

No word on when this product will be available for purchase, though the the Aqous line was the star of the Sharp news conference Monday. Large TV’s  were the theme, with only brief mentions for new speakers  and accessories to dock ipads, ipods and iphones.

Sharp announced the new 80 inch (Awk-wess) Aquos board ,a screen designed to host digital meetings. It recognizes both a pen stylis and finger and is compatible with Microsoft Office and Microsoft 7, and is optimized for skype, web X and go-to-meeting.

Sharp seemed most pleased with it’s 80 inch model TV, demonstrably the size of a smart car. The company plans to release 17 new 60 inch or greater TV models alone, in the next 90 days. Wifi is built into all devices and many of them are 3D compatible. They also have something called “smart control,” Sharp’s answer to streaming video and customer support.
