Video: CES 2012: Ultra Slim wall charger powers up gadgets, fits in pocket

Powering up gadgets on the go may get a little easier or at least less cumbersome with a new device from Taiwan’s Powertech. At CES 2012 the company showed a power adapter that plugs into a single power outlet and provides users with 2 AC plugs and two USB ports to power everything from e-readers to smartphones. The device measures just over a centimeter thick, which is much thinner than this wallet and slimmer than other than other devices offering the same capabilities.

At this moment there is no other competitor doing this kind of product. It is very slim. It also passed the UL certification.

Powertech plans to beginning manufacturing the device this summer and while it wouldn’t disclose pricing it said it would be competitive with other products, which cost between 10 and 15 dollars.
