iTunes update adds iPhone support

Apple releases iTunes 7.3 for new iPod phone

Apple has released iTunes 7.3. The update is available through the Software Update system preference or directly from the Apple website.

This update is being offered to provide compatibility with the iPhone, which launched in the US on Firday. The new version enables iPhone users to activate service for their phone and syncs the iPhone with music, movies, TV shows and more.

iTunes 7.3 also enables users to share digital photos from any computer in the house with an Apple TV.

System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.3.9 or Mac OS X v10.4.7 or later. A separate version is also available for Windows.
