Apple cuts iPod shuffle price

10 percent off tiny music player

Apple cut the price of its iPod shuffle in the UK. The tiny music player - launched at £55 - is now available in the UK for £49.

In April, Apple reduced prices across its larger video-enabled iPod range. A 30GB iPod now sets you back £179 (down from £189), while the largest-capacity 80GB iPod saw a £20 price cut, now avaialble for £239.

It's likely the price cuts are designed to help maintain demand for the products, which aren't currently expected to see a physical update until the end of summer.
