Apple's popularity surged in April

Traffic to iPod maker's site grows 43%

Apple's US website saw traffic jump 42 per cent in April 2007, according to the latest ComScore Media Metrix figures.

Interest surrounding Apple and products such as the iPod, iPhone and iTunes continues to grow, meaning the company website was the third largest site in the top ten list of sites that gained the most traffic in April as compared to March.

Apple saw 27,317,000 visits in March - but this climbed to 38,789,000 in April, up 42 per cent, the research claims.

Apple's is the thirteenth biggest US web property, above CNet Networks and close behind Viacom.
