Apple updates iTunes and QuickTime

Additional support for Apple TV

Apple has released updates for its digital jukebox software iTunes, as well as an update for QuickTime.

iTunes 7.1 appears to add additional support for the upcoming release of Apple TV, which is due out later this month. The update also supports a new full-screen Cover Flow and improved sorting options to let you decide how iTunes should sort your favourite artists, albums, and songs.

QuickTime 7.1.5 delivers numerous bug fixes and addresses critical security issues, according to notes provided with the update.

iTunes 7.1 and QuickTime 7.1.5 are available via the software update mechanism in Mac OS X or from Apple's website.
