Apple adds a splash of colour

iPod shuffle now available in five colours

Apple has announced that its 1GB iPod shuffle is now available in five colours.

The clip-on media player can now be bought in pink, green, blue and orange, in addition to the original silver model. The players will still cost £55.

The shuffle is advertised on Apple’s site as the “world’s most wearable music player” so it makes sense to introduce different shades to match your outfits and make a ‘musical fashion statement’. At just over 4cm long the player allows you to carry 240 songs around with you.

The decision to offer the shuffle in a variety of colours follows the success of the multi-colour approach of Apple’s other models; the nano is available in five different colours and the flagship iPod video, can be bought in black or white.
