Griffin launches iTrip for Apple's iPhone

FM transmitter available for £59.99

Griffin Technology has launched an FM transmitter for Apple's iPhone.

iTrip AutoPilot, which costs £59.99 in the UK, plugs directly into the 12V power port in your car while connecting to your iPhone or iPod through the dock connector. Built-in software scans the FM frequencies to find the best one to play music through, remembering the three best which can be moved between at the flick of a switch. The system supports RDS, meaning you can see what track's playing on your iPhone on your car radio display.

Apple iPhone review

"The iPhone was the hottest technology of 2007, and is a truly remarkable product," said Tony Johnson, international account manager, Griffin Technology.

"We have combined it with the most popular iPod accessory to date - Griffin's iTrip - to give our customers the iTrip AutoPilot with Smartscan. We predict it will be the kind of device you'll use day in, day out."
