iPod shuffle price cut as 2GB model beckons

Apple's 1GB digital music player now just £32

Apple has dropped the price of the iPod shuffle to £32. Originally priced at £49, the 1GB digital music player is the smallest produced by Apple and is available in five colours; silver, blue, green and purple, together with the (PRODUCT) RED special edition that helps raise money for the (RED) charity.

Apple is also introducing a 2GB model, priced at £45, which will be available towards the end of February from the Apple Store.

"At just £32 the iPod shuffle is the most affordable iPod ever and the new 2GB model lets music lovers bring even more songs everywhere they go," said Greg Joswiak, Apple's vice president of Worldwide iPod Product Marketing.
