Reports from Taiwan suggest Apple is planning to launch touchscreen-enabled iPods next month.
A report in DigiTimes says Apple has struck a deal with Taiwanese manufacturer maker Wintek for the iPod touchscreens.
"Apple is set to launch a next-generation iPod video in August with the new products featuring a touchscreen panel similar to the iPhone," the report claims.
Macworld UK says analysts and industry watchers have been predicting Apple plans to introduce iPods that exploit the multi-touch technology introduced within the iPhone as part of its next revamp of its industry-leading product.
