Dedicated Apple fans stood in line in downtown San Francisco to buy the newest iPhone, the IPhone 4S.

The new iPhones 4S has a better camera than any previous iPhone, with 8 megapixels, which is why some decided to upgrade. Others were excited to use the personal voice assistant, Siri, for the first time.
“I can say, call my Mom, call my brother and it will do it.”

It was a surprisingly hot day, so Apple provided shade and water to those waiting in line.

A nearby Sprint store had already lost its line after the store sold out of iPhones by mid-morning. Sprint is selling an iPhone for the first time, joining Verizon and AT&T.

Back at the Apple store, a third-party app developer says he is grateful to have watched Apple and Steve Jobs grow.

“I’m so glad he was able to see all this success and it means a lot to those of us who have danced around Steve’s campfire. Because that is the only way to call it.”
