After the launch of the iPhone 5, PC Advisor hosted a poll to find out what people's "initial impressions of the iPhone 5" were. Over 6,800 people took part in the poll and the result was that the majority of people are underwhelmed with Apple's latest smartphone. See also: iPhone 5 review.
65% underwhelmed with iPhone
Just 10 percent of poll participants clicked on the option "It looks great", while a combined 65 percent revealed they weren't overly impressed with the iPhone 5. Take a look at Samsung Galaxy S3 vs Apple iPhone 5 comparison review too.
The 65 percent figure comes from three different poll options. The biggest of the group was the option "The iPhone 5 looks like it will be good, but I was hoping for more from Apple", which received 28 percent of the vote. See also: Group test: What's the best smartphone?
The remaining 37 percent of the figure was made up from people who thought the iPhone 5 was "too similar to the iPhone 4S", which received 28 percent of the poll; and the final 18 percent came from voters who selected the iPhone 5 "doesn't look as though it will be as good as some other smartphones."
The other two options we "I don't care" and "I don't know" which received 22 and three percent respectively.
The poll's result suggests that Apple has lost a little of its wow factor when it comes to smartphone launches. However it is fair to say that Apple will not be too worried as the Californian tech company still managed to sell over five million iPhone 5s in the first weekend.
