WWDC keynote: as it happened

News as it happens as Apple refreshes its entire Mac lineup

Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) starts today, Monday, June 11. The annual Apple event started with a hugely anticipated keynote speech from Apple CEO Tim Cook at San Francisco's Moscone West Hall, and we had a team of reporters from PC Advisor's sister title Macworld in place to cover live the WWDC keynote event.

All the updates, as they happened, appear below. This was the only WWDC keynote live blog to follow, on potentially the biggest ever refresh of Apple products.

Tickets for Apple WWDC, the company's Worldwide Developers Conference, sold out in just two hours when they went on sale some weeks ago, so following our live blog is the best way to stay up to date. It seems likely that the latest OSX release - Mountain Lion - will occupy a large part of the spotlight, as the update is due to be released later this summer. We're also expecting Apple to  take the wraps off of the latest revision to its mobile operating system - iOS 6. Apple has released the full schedule for WWDC on its developer website and via an iOS app, though that information is only available to registered attendees of the conference.

WWDC 2012 will include purported refreshes to almost the entire Mac lineup including the Mac Pro, Facebook integration for iOS, Siri integration for the iPad, iCloud improvements, as well as sneak peeks at both the aforementioned iOS 6 and the previously announced OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.
