Many users have taken to Apple's support pages to voice their Wi-Fi related woes with the iOS tablet. The news comes shortly after iPad users complained about the device overheating. The new iPad hasn't been on sale for a week yet. Visit iPad 4 release date, specs and rumour round-up.
Complaints about the Wi-Fi on the iPad include it having weak signal, poor range and dropping the connection. Many of the users on the forum say that other Apple products like the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 do not have the same problems in the same situation.
Sully 2003 said: "Will not hold WIFI for more than a few minutes. Two MacBooks and iPhone working fine from same router. Ready to return iPad!"
Hitcheak said: "My shiny new iPad only works if I sit within six feet of my router. Tried two routers and it's the same. I sold my iPad 1. How I wish I could have it back. This one is no more use than a desktop with an Ethernet connection."
We've contacted Apple asking for a response to this development. Apple has responded to the overheating problem with a statement sent to cnet.
The firm said, "The new iPad delivers a stunning retina display, A5X chip, support for 4G LTE plus 10 hours of battery life, all while operating well within our thermal specifications. If customers have any concerns, they should contact AppleCare."
We've got numerous new iPads floating around in the PC Advisor office and have experienced no Wi-Fi problems and no worryingly hot temperatures.
