Slimline aluminium MacBooks next for Apple

Mac site says Apple's planning slim laptops

Apple is rumoured to be ready to launch aluminium MacBooks which will be "considerably" slimmer than the current models with keyboards that "resemble" the new iMac keyboards.

That's according to a report by Mac website 9to5Mac, which claims both black and silver aluminium MacBooks will be released, citing solid sources.

The report indicates the new portable Macs will also be lighter than the current range, observing they will be "priced extremely aggressively".

Apple does not comment on unnanounced products, dismissing them as "rumour and speculation".

The MacBook range was last updated on May 15, when Apple introduced faster processors to the products.
