VIDEO: Happy Birthday, iMac

Watch Steve Jobs unveil Apple's iMac in 1998

It was 10 years ago today that Apple started selling its iconic bubble-shaped iMac computer. On August 15, 1998 Apple transformed how people saw computers – and the industry and interior decorating was never the same again.

Apple unveiled the iMac on May 6 1998, but didn’t start selling it till August 15 – but in the meantime it took 150,000 orders for what was soon the fastest-selling Mac ever.

In pictures: 10 years of iMac

In honour of the iMac’s 10th anniversary, take a look at this great video of Apple CEO Steve Jobs showing off his baby to the world. (Laugh as Steve calls the hated puck mouse “the coolest mouse on the planet”!)
