News: The best gadgets of June 2011
It's been no surprise to see plenty of outdoor and holiday gadgets filling our new products blog this month, but June also saw the unveiling of a number of decidedly cool and innovative tech products. Among them were both the BlackBerry and HP tablets we've been wanting to get our hands on for months, while Samsung and Sony both brought out intriguing ultraportable laptops. But if we're honest, our favourite gadget launch this month was a fantastically quirky camera. Here’s our summary of the gadgets of note for June 2011.

LightWave 10.1 has new tools including off-axis stereoscopic camera rigs, an improved Viewport Preview Renderer (VPR), more powerful import and export capabilities with FBX, MDD, and integrated Autodesk Geometry Cache support and a new Skin material node.

News: Nintendo 3DS Available March 27 for £229
Nintendo's 3DS glasses-free 3D games handheld will launch on March 27 in the U.S. and sell for $250, the company revealed at a press event in New York this morning. You'll be able to buy one in "cobalt blue" or "cosmo black," and unlike prior DS handhelds which employed a fixed stylus, the 3DS will include one that telescopes.
