ViewSonic has announced its refreshed ViewPad range of tablets which consists of the G70, E70, E100 and P100. They cover the 7-inch and 10-inch sizes and have either Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) or Windows 7.
The ViewPad G70 comes in a 7-inch form factor and will ship pre-loaded with ICS. The tablet has 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage and mini-HDMI, micro-USB and mini-USB for connectivity.
Storage is expandable by way of a microSD card slot with support for up to 32GB. The capacitive touchscreen has a resolution of 1024 x 600. It has 3G support as well as WiFi.
The ViewPad G70 will retail for around £260 and will be available in the second quarter of the year.
ViewSonic’s ViewPad E70 will be a cheaper version of the G70, again with a 7-inch screen and Android 4.0 ICS. It is powered by a 1GHz processor and 4GB memory storage and come with WiFi connectivity and a front facing camera.
The ViewPad E70 will retail for less than £129 and will be available in the second quarter of the year.
A more premium option is the ViewPad E100 which has a 9.7-inch in-plane switching (IPS) display with a resolution of 1024 x 768 and Android 4.0 ICS. Hardware includes a 1GHz processor, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, HDMI, USB and microSD.
The tablet measures in a 9.1mm thick with a weigh of 620g. It will be available in the second quarter for around £260 and £325 for a 3G model.
Lastly, the ViewPad P100 is the 10-inch offering with Windows 7. Like the E100 is has an IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800. It’s powered by an Intel N2600 1.6GHz dual-core processor.
The ViewPad P100 will feature dual cameras for video conferencing. It will also be available in the second quarter in WiFi or 3G models prices at around £520 and £645, respectively.
