Huawei has shown off its MediaPad 10 FHD Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich tablet in a promotional video.

The tablet will rival devices like Apple's iPad and Samsung's Galaxy 10.1. The MediaPad 10 FHD features a high resolution screen and is tipped to launch next month.

Huawei said: "The Huawei MediaPad 10 FHD is a fast-performing tablet with unsurpassed audio-visual entertainment features including a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 16-core GPU, Google Android 4.0 operating system and 10.1-inch screen with 1920 x 1200 in-plane switching display."

The firm describes the tablet as 'luxurious yet subtle' with a 'refined metallic surface'. It is 8.8mm thick, weighs 580g and has an 8MP rear facing camera with dual LED flash and auto focus.

Huawei touts additional features including up to 160GB of cloud storage, an intelligent and secure phone-finder and a 'laptop kit' similar to the keyboard docking station notorious to Asus' Transformer tablet range.
